It takes a village, let’s rebuild it

Our story

The idea of United Parents was born from a memory and an observation...

My parents

In the French countryside, my mother shared the school run with two other families. It (sort of) worked, but only because she literally knocked on doors and took a leap of faith on her neighbours.

That arrangement gave her back a few hours a week after my baby brother was born.

Only then did I see the woman in her come back, before simply a mother driving back and forth six times a day, unfortunately putting a pause to her career in the process. However even in the 2020’s, she stills struggled with the process as it was still being done on a messy WhatsApp group.

Years later, I saw the same pattern in my own office in the UK: mothers leaving at the same time, each driving separately to the same handful of schools. The same queues that add twenty minutes to my morning commute.

Our platform is a modern version of what parents are already trying to arrange: a community-driven lift sharing solution designed for parents.

Driven by values

Our school ride sharing app for parents contributes to fewer cars on the road, lower emissions, and healthier urban environments.

This solution is built on trust, community, sustainability, and inclusion. We believe in empowering parents, particularly women, through shared support. By creating a safe, verified parent-only network, we’re championing a return to community-first thinking.

Cleaner Air. Supports children’s health by cutting pollution and parents’ wellbeing by making school runs less stressful. Air pollution contributes to ~40,000 early deaths in the UK/year (RCP, 2016).

Building a Supportive Community for Busy Mums. Addresses the disproportionate burden of school runs often placed on women by creating a supportive system, redefining the daily school run with fair, shared travel.

Promotes affordable and sustainable transport systems that reduce congestion and pollution in urban areas. In 71% of UK towns and cities, children breathe unsafe levels of air pollution. (UNICEF, 2018).

Reduce Carbon Emissions Together. Encourages actions to reduce carbon emissions by minimising car usage through shared travel, and cut school run carbon footprints with shared travel.
